Starry Starry Night
- December 8, 2007
- Patron Party and Art Auction
The annual holiday party thanking patrons of the St. Tammany Art Association features live music, Starry White Russians, a fantastic menu of culinary delights, and a silent auction of original, hand-adorned stars.
Louisiana’s talented fine artists are invited to decorate and adorn papier mache star forms, and donate for silent auction to support programming at the STAA. Winning bidders will enjoy their original, hand-made stars for holiday decoration, a memorable gift, or as fine art to add to their collection. This is a fun addition to holiday celebrations.
This holiday fundraiser is a ticketed event; however, patrons receive complimentary tickets based on levels of sponsorship.
Geaux Arts Ball
- February 23, 2008
- Geaux Arts Ball and Living Art Exhibition

The event features a living art exhibit of local residents who portray classic and contemporary paintings. This year, the Art Association will partner with the New Orleans Museum of Art to highlight treasures from the museum’s permanent collection. The Ball features live music, dancing, host bar and hors d’oevres, all combining to make the Geaux Arts Ball the see-and-be-seen event of the season.

The first Geaux Arts Ball and Living Art Exhibit took place during Fall for Art on October 16, 2004. Twelve paintings were posed and brought to life over a three-hour period while a strolling violinist provided background music. After the exhibit, guests who purchased tickets were treated to ARTinis, pastries from North Shore favorite Zoe's, and Mandeville Bake Shop, and entertainment from Tony Green and the Gypsy Jazz.

Tickets to the event start at $50. For more information on the 2008 Geaux Arts Ball, contact STAA at (985) 892-8650 or call coordinator Laura Allums Mitchell at (985)845-4753.
