Education : Children & Teen Programs
STAA is committed to providing an ambitious, multi-media educational program for artists of all ages. STAA’s faculty is comprised of working artists, current or former art educators at the high school or university level, and visiting Artists-in-Residence from around the U.S.A. Instructors are rigorously vetted to ensure students receive the highest quality art instruction in the classical tradition of mentorship, providing guidance in studio art production and critique.
Three youth art camps are held throughout the year: Theater Camp in July, Easter Art Camp each spring, Summer Art Camp in June, and special workshops throughout the year. We also host Talented Art Exhibitions to showcase the talent of the region and teach young artists about the many facets of exhibiting and selling their work.

Summer Theatre Camp
The brainchild of board member Frank Levy, our Summer Theater Camp for children and teens has been an ongoing program for many years.Up to seventy children and teens learn the basics about acting, set design, and running a theater production from beginning to end.

Frank is a 30 year veteran teacher of writing, speech and dramatics from elementary school through university level, as well as a state certified evaluator for talented theater. He has performed his one-man interactive shows across the United States, Canada and in four tours of Australia, beginning with an appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show in New York when he was eighteen.
