STAA : Art House Academy

Conceived and executed by artist Lyn Hill Taylor, a member of STAA for over thirty years,
and modeled after the Art Students League in New York City, the Art House Academy offers Adult classes in drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and art history as well as special artist-in-residence programs. Children's classes include ceramics, drawing, theater, and photography. Beginners and experienced artists alike can choose from studio art, art history, or musical and theatrical performance education.

Instructors, referred to as mentors, are there not just to lead students through class, but to advise and critique their works, and discuss individual curriculums. Students are introduced to practical information on marketing their work. High-quality instruction and scope of opportunities is a hallmark of the Academy.
